September Wrap-Up

8

September is done and I will not miss it. Wow, what a terrible month. My anxiety was a mess all month and I fell into my depression at one point, plus my mum’s health was not good and my sister was a shit. However, October is a new month and this means new things to look forward. Including my best friends birthday. She turns 20 on the 27th and I’m travelling North to visit her, I’m so excited. I’ve had all her presents for months and I’m just trying to look forward to it since I finished university this month.

This month I did manage to finish 14 books. Not all of them were good, though, but the few I read and loved were some of the best books I’ve read all year. How many books did you manage to read this month? I’d love to know!

Okay, no more babbling. Onto what I read. Happy October everyone!

  1. So sorry to hear you have been through all that this month i would love to give you a hug ( so will have to be a cyber one) Anyway i have had crap month too if that makes you fell better, my hubby anxiety back, had my mother in law staying with me she has gone now but she didnt say thank you and it really hurt my feelings and it put me in a bit of a melancholy mood and this is the worst part it has put me off reading ( i never experienced this before ever) i have read one book last night ( because i had to for a post today) and the book i on Night Circus which everyone has raved about i just arent into it and it stressing me!! But on a more happy note…. kids back to uni college and high school so we back to regimented routine!!! I on TIGHT budget as me and hubby have to raise £ 90000 ( $11000) for sons uni fees and sadly we not rich😤 so my book buying days are over for now might have to enrol in library which breaks my heart, but we all alive and well so should be grateful for that!! I LOVE your book reviews and i have taken iut the mediocre type books until they affordable so i THANK YOU so much for that!!! Lets hope we both cheer up in October lol

    • I’m so sorry your month wasn’t that great! I hope October gets things back on track. It really sucks when nothing will go right.

Also, don’t worry about The Night Circus I really wasn’t a fan of that book. A very big disappointment for me! The library is a bit of a pain, but I hope it helps you save money.

Also, thank you so much for your support. It means so much. I’m wishing us the best for this month and that everyone remains healthy in your family! ❤️

  2. I read 9 books and though that was great but you did so many more!! I’m sorry to see you had to DNF a couple too *eek* I hate having to do that! And I see two super popular books weren’t doing it for you… Invictus and the Ice and Snow one! I hope next month is fun though seeing your best friend! And happy reading!

    • 9 books is so awesome! DNF’ing is my least favourite thing but I just can’t push through books anymore 😅 thank you so much! Happy reading to you too, I hope you discover some great reads this month! ❤️

  3. I’m sorry you’ve had such a crap month (me too; plus I also suffer from depression and anxiety, as well as having MS). Hoping October will be a better month. Plus I wonder if the books would’ve been better if your mood had been better? I always wonder how our emotions affect things like this. Feel well (inside) soon. I know it’s easier said than done. Books always help though, right?!

    • So far, October has been off to a rough start. I hope yours is going much better and I’m so sorry last month wasn’t great for you! Sending love your way ❤ I agree with you so much, I'm definitely a mood reader and I tend to hate books I know I'll love if I've been in a crummy mood (which sucks)!

      • It hasn’t been a good start! My old doggy Apollo twisted his leg getting off a bench at the park the other day, and is now in a lot of pain, and can’t walk on that leg. He had cold laser therapy tomorrow. My poor bub. And I’ve been sick! It just got worse! Hoping my pup gets better… Thanks for the ❤️
